Sammy Joyer, DC

Sammy is passionate about caring for families, and has a special interest in women's health, pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric care. This passion led her to become a chiropractor trained in Webster technique (ICPA) -- a technique that balances the pelvis and allows for optimal positioning of baby in pregnancy and for delivery. It is her joy to serve patients at Caron Chiropractic Clinic in St. Paul, MN. Sammy furthered her education by becoming a trained birth doula (DONA) and it is her honor to support women through the transition into motherhood. Sammy has beautifully welcomed one child at home and continues to be amazed at the journey and blessing that is motherhood.

Doula Services

Prenatal visits

The care I provide is specific to you and your personal preferences, and therefore varies for each client. During prenatal visits I like to get to know your intentions for labor & delivery, encourage open dialogue regarding your options, provide well-rounded information, give you full access to my combined chiropractic and doula knowledge and experiences, demonstrate non-medical pain management strategies -- positioning, massage, breathing, etc, and help with development of your birth wishes, if desired.

Labor and Birth

I provide support through labor and delivery along with the path that your labor and delivery present. I offer non-medical pain management strategies as discussed in your prenatal visits, emotional support, and support to your birth partner, allowing for rest as needed and offering guidance/suggestions when desired.

Postpartum and Newborn visit

To ensure that you experience the best possible transition for you and your newborn baby, I will stay in close contact with you after your birth to provide postpartum support, assist with breastfeeding, and answer any questions you may have. All of these services can be provided to you in the comfort of your home.
